Say a prayer for those running Escape from Alcatraz

My thoughts and prayers are with those in San Francisco, just a few hours away from the start of the Escape from Alcatraz triathlon. While I’m a Leanda Cave fan and rooting for her fourth win there, anyone brave enough to set foot on that course is a winner. Today they are calling for bad thunderstorms and rain which will make the swim and bike legs treacherous at best. I swam that course on a mild sunny day and it beat me up pretty bad. The bike leg has no flat spot on it at all.

Rain + race bikes + adrenaline + thunder and lightning + San Francisco hills = someone is likely to fall and get hurt.

Here are Eric G and Kelly D talking about the race:

Now I’m off to ride my bike before work!

What are you up to today?
